Isanlu Converge Initiates Free Health Care Services
The free health care initiative introduced by a community based non governmental organization, NGO under the auspices of Isanlu Converge has been described as a good omen to the people of Yagba East Local Government Area. and Kogi state in general.
The spokesperson for the group, Nurudeen Ashiru stated this while speaking with SECURITY MONITROR correspondent in Lokoja.
Ashiru said the initiative which kicked off on the twentieth of this month has rekindled the hope of indigent citizens with health challenges.
He explained that medical doctors within the area and beyond were invited to attend to the health challenges of the people of the area adding that over one hundred people have benefited from the scheme.
In his words, Ashiru noted that “the turn out of the people is quite impressive and we have realized that much is needed to be done to alleviate the suffering of the people”
He thanked Governor Bello for creating the enabling environment for the success of the health week noting that the initiative is a worthwhile venture that should be replicated across the state to assist the state government in it’s health care agenda.
He expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for Finance, Ashiwaju idris Ashiru, Ayo Moses, Samuel Ajengbe, Doctor Onile and others including the medical team from within and outside the state who have contributed to the success of the programme which is expected to come to end this weekend.
