"Police in Lagos arrest robbery suspect, kill two in gun battle", =S.P Badmos

The Lagos state police command have arrested one Gafar ismail with no fixed address for a case of robbery.
Gafar and two others were intercepted by police operatives from Idimu division and IGP’S Anti Vandalism team on
Okunola Street idimu while robbing a bank customer.
The gang had targeted a customer coming out of a bank , the customer who was later identified as an Inspector of police was fired on the face in order to dispossess him of the money he’s carrying in a bag, the sound of the shooting attracted the IGP’s team and patrolmen from Idimu who swiftly moved to the scene.

On sighting the operatives the robbers opened fire and the team responded which led to two of the robbers being hit by bullets. The robbers were rushed to the hospital where they were confirmed dead while the victim is recovering in the hospital.
The case is transferred to SARS of Lagos state command where investigation reveals that the suspect Gafar is on the “WANTED” list of the command for cases of okada robbery. Meanwhile the arrested suspect has been giving the command useful informations that will aid investigation.

Items recovered from the suspects are two locally made pistols, four live ammunitions and one Bajaj product motorcycle. According to Police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, a superintended of police “the command will continue to be on the trail of okada robbers in the state as it’s committed to ending the activities of this hoodlums”
