KOGI @25: Vigilance Group Congratulates Yahaya Bello
The State Commander who spoke through the Assistant Controller of Finance, Mr Isah Okpanachi, said the state security apparatus has been given the necessary attention with the procurement of over one hundred Hilux van for security agencies.
He commence his effort and foresight in powering the vigilance group whom he described as the Major strategy in addressing security challenges.
According to him, the vigilance group usually consist of the indigenous members of the community who are conversant with the terrain and can give useful information to nip crime in the bud.
The commander reiterated the commitment of the group to compliment government’s effort in the area of security and appealed to the Governor to incorporate them into the Health Insurance Scheme.
In a remark, the coordinator of the Group in Yagba West Local Government Area, Mr Samuel K Jiwa said Governor Yahaya Bello has behaved like a true Nigerian by empowering all security agencies.
He urged other Governors to emulate the precept to ensure the safety of lives and properties.
