NOUN Students Protest Against Poor Facility, Cancellation of TMA
Students of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), on Wednesday, planned to embark on a peaceful protest resulting to the cancellation of their Tutor Mark Assignment known as (TMA)
According to the Directorate of Examination and Assessment, he said that 90% of students uses an unauthorized medium to write their assignments that was why their TMA was consequently cancelled.
“It’s no longer a news that we have been treated unjustly by this called institution and in an inconsiderate manner by the management of the National Open University, with accusations of TMA misconduct” said The student affairs
We want the Federal government to prevail on the school management to reverse the TMA scores. Severally, we have contacted the management through Various media but their response was demoralizing.
Abolarinwa, ” we are tired of their old system. We are not been treated as non-conventional university. They call it an ODL system of learning but the flexibility is no more”
How did they expect us to read and pass our exams when they can’t provide enough study materials for us? They deny us from several facilities which we made payments for.
In response to this situation, the students affairs organized a peaceful protest which has been slated on 3rd June, 2024, to address these concerns and demand action from the management.
He also urge students to come in oneness and stand against the decision fashioned to mastermind our future, Abolarinwa concluded.
