ART 2025 ROUNDTABLE: EXPERTS CALLS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE, RESTRUCTURING, KEY TO NIGERIA PROGRESS

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // The ART 2025 second edition roundtable discussion, themed Steward of Nations One Nigeria, took place at the Jesus Evangelical Assembly in Lagos.
The event aimed to promote unity, peace, and prosperity in Nigeria.
Revd. Mrs. Joy Osawaru Akinyemi welcomed participants, emphasizing the importance of unity and peace in the country.
This year’s theme, Steward of Nation, will continue with a shareable commitment to the unity, peace, and prosperity of our nation, she said.
Bishop Joseph Ighalo Edoro, the keynote speaker, stressed the need for good governance and restructuring.
We need to set a tone for a great move to stimulate and motivate sustainable efforts towards unity, peace, and prosperity, he said.
Doctor Bolaji, the convener, highlighted the importance of restructuring the federal system.
Our confrontation is the structure of our federation, electing saints or sinners, which has resulted in changing nothing, he said.
Da Jonathan Sunday Akums, a panelist, explained the concept of federalism in Nigeria.
Akums said that Federalism is a system of government where power is divided between a central authority and constituent political unity.
The roundtable discussion provided a platform for stakeholders to share their thoughts on promoting unity and peace in Nigeria.
The event emphasized the need for collective efforts to address the country’s challenges and achieve sustainable development.
