The National Assembly approved the budget on February 13 after revising Tinubu’s initial proposal of N49.7 trillion. The spending plan includes significant allocations for various sectors, with a focus on economic growth and infrastructure development.

Statutory transfers account for N3.65 trillion, while recurrent (non-debt) expenditure is set at N13.64 trillion. Capital expenditure takes a major share of N23.96 trillion, reflecting the administration’s push for development projects. Debt servicing is projected at N14.32 trillion, underscoring the government’s commitment to managing its financial obligations.

The budget also sets the deficit-to-GDP ratio at 1.52 percent, highlighting efforts to maintain fiscal stability while funding critical national programs.
