 He is the Air Officer Commanding, Mobility Command in the Nigerian Air Force. 

 On Friday October, 24 President Bola Ahmed Tinubu named Aneke as the Chief of Air Staff under a service-chiefs shake-up. 

Background & Career

 • Born 20 February 1972 in Makurdi, Benue State. 

 • From Udi LGA in Enugu State. 

 • He joined the Nigerian Defence Academy on 10 September 1988 as part of the 40th Regular Course and was commissioned as a pilot officer on 10 September 1993. 

 • He has multiple academic qualifications, including:

 • BSc in Physics

 • Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (University of Calabar)

 • Masters in International Affairs & Diplomacy (Ahmadu Bello University)

 • Masters in Political Economy & Development Studies (University of Abuja)

 • Masters in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Air War College at Air University, Montgomery, Alabama. 

 • He also attended a number of military staff & flying training courses (Flying Training School, Staff College, USAF-Air University course etc.). 

 • He has held many roles: logistics & administrative roles at bases, operations roles, staff roles at Headquarters, leadership positions in training & command units. 

 • He is also Deputy Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy as of one of his roles.
