LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND FLAGS OFF 2026 NATIONAL POLICE DAY WITH SANITATION EXERCISE AND FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH

By Olayiwiola Ibrahim // The Lagos State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, today, Monday, 30th March 2026, officially kicked off activities marking the 2026 National Police Day.

The opening day featured a community sanitation exercise across 14 Area Commands in the state, alongside a free medical outreach at Computer Village, Ikeja.

The medical outreach offered free services including medical check-ups, health talks, medical counselling, blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, Hepatitis B and C Virus testing, eye examinations, retroviral screening, and free medication.

The initiative highlights the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to community engagement, public health, and environmental sustainability, while strengthening police-citizen bonds.

Residents and passers-by benefited from the exercise and praised the Command’s proactive approach to accessible healthcare.

The Command reaffirms its dedication to service, partnership, and people-centred policing as National Police Day activities continue.
