Fresh teachers' recruitment, outcome of President Tinubu's interventions in education- TDF

By Wuddeama Manga/ABUJA// The Democratic Front (TDF) has welcomed President Bola Tinubu’s approval to recruit 3, 252 verified Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) teachers into the Federal Civil Service.

In a statement signed by its Chairman Danjuma Muhammad and Secretary Wale Adedayo, the group described it as one of the initiatives of the federal government to strengthen and reposition the nation’s education sector.

The statement read in part, “We are glad and particularly elated that this approval by President Bola Tinubu approval to recruit teachers will permanently absorb qualified PTA teachers that have worked in federal schools for over a period of 25 years. In addition, the President’s decision would bring relief and joy into many homes and families in the country.

“The development showcases yet another milestone in the ongoing transformation of the education sector under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“We are proud to note that in June 2026, the Renewed Hope Education Reforms gave Nigeria a most impressive performance in global university rankings, where 24 Nigerian universities made the list of the best universities in the world.

“Part of the remarkable import of this Presidential intervention is that the recruitment will permanently address the incessant shortage of teaching personnel in Federal Unity Colleges and Federal Technical Colleges.

“Furthermore, it is a fair attestation to the success of President Tinubu’s economic reset agenda which has freed and rechanneled significant resources for meaningful development as evidenced in the recruitment of 3,252 teaching personnel.

“The intervention will further enhance the quality of education in Nigeria, improve the lives of the employed teachers, and also help to inject discipline and healthy competition into the national education system.”

TDF urged Nigerians to sustain the ongoing transformation of the education and other sectors by voting for the continuity of the Tinubu administration in the forthcoming presidential election.
