Professional Advertisers Seek Collaboration With INEC

The chairman Advertising Practitioners’ Association Abuja Chapter, Alh.Ibrahim Aliyu led the association on courtesy visit to the Independent National Electoral Commission Headquarters, Abuja.

Alh.Ibrahim Aliyu introduced the Association as a body of intellectual personalities with integrity in the field of Advertising.

” We appreciate the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission Prof. Mahmood Yakubu ably represented by  Prince Adedeji Soyebi.

Advertising Practitioners Association Abuja Chapter is an umbrella body made of advertising practitioners in all sectors particularly in the North Central zone and environs. These are personalities with  creative talents in the macrocosm of advertising cutting across print media, agencies, out door, online, radio, television and direct customer advertising” He said

In furtherance, Alh.Aliyu pointed out logical ways to which the association can collaborate  immensely with  INEC as to achieve a balanced democracy in the country with regards to the 2019 elections

The chairman noted that INEC have been doing extremely well  in the stability of our democracy but then, the Advertising Practitioners Association Abuja Chapter can come in through many ways to have a formidable achievement in the 2019 elections.

” We want the  commission to collaborate with the association as to organise seminars for political parties,aspirants and candidates on the need to contract advertising to professionals in the field so that they can derive the adequate value for their campaigns.

He urged INEC to encourage APAAC and her members by patronising and involving Advertising practitioners in all activities relating to advertising “

In response to the APAAC chairman’s address, Chairman of INEC Prof.Mahmood Yakubu represented by Prince Adedeji, Soyebi expressed gratitude on the visit of a reputable association like APAAC.

” It is a privilege to represent the chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu to meet with an association pioneered by Alh.Ibrahim Aliyu. This connotes perfectness in  advertising”  he noted.

Prince Soyebi went further to address points raised by  Alh.Ibrahim stating that the commission is willing and fully ready to work with APAAC as to promote the commission and to build more integrity and goodwill.

” Haven listened to the points raised by the chairman of the Association, I am of the opinion that INEC and APAAC  would  institute a committee to look into a workable  proposal that would be sent in from the association so that all we have done here today don’t become a mere talk.” he concluded.
