GAPOSA: The Gateway Of Modern ICT Education In Nigeria

No wonder, Dr I. K Oyeyinka got a renewed mandate to run the Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic in Saapade as a Rector.

The Ogun state owned institution is undeniably soaring in many areas.

The Erection of conducive lecture theatre halls for students has been the priorities of the management of the institution.

Ranging from aggressive provisions of infrastructure to procurement of ICT equipment and trainings, the management reeled out the following development projects (IN PICTURE).

During his second term familiarization meeting with members of staff where he thanked them for their cooperation over the years and assured them of more benefits during his second tenure in office which includes:

– More sponsored National and International Trainings of exposure for members of staff.

– New structures to accommodate the teeming students population.

– Accreditation of New courses by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

– More and better working conditions and job security.

Dr. Oyeyinka however enjoined members of staff to be more disciplined. He called on members to join in building a better and cleaner GAPOSA.

A report by the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists, NGIJ, indicates that the ongoing projects in Gateway ICT Polytechnic Saapade, will catapult the institution into a world class citadel of ICT knowledge. According to the rector “the institution will be second to none in Nigeria as we are introducing courses like Mobile App laboratory, equipped with facilities to train the students on how to be self-reliant after their studies.

The institution under the leadership of Dr Oyeyinka as rector has worked on the affiliation of the institution with international institutions to ensure the students are of world class standard.
