Kwara Speaker consoles Oyo Assembly over Lawmaker’s Death

Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr. Ali Ahmad, has described the death of a member representing Orelope Constituency in Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Gideon Aremu, as a shock and unfortunate.
The deceased was reportedly murdered in Ibadan Friday night by gunmen.
In a condolence message issued by his Media Aide, Shuaib Abdulkadir, the Speaker lamented the death of the lawmaker, who he said, was an active member of the House before his demise.
Ahmad, who commiserated with Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the Speaker, OYHA, ?Rt. Hon. Adeshina Michael Adeyemo and the deceased’s immediate family, prayed God to forgive his sins and give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
He, however, urged the Oyo State Police Command and other security agencies to as a matter of necessity unravel the mystery surrounding the legislator’s death.
?Similarly, ?the Speaker has congratulated the Olofa of Offa,Oba Mufutau Gbadamasi on his victory at the Supreme Court, describing it as a well-deserved victory.
He added that the victory is for all indigenes of Offa, and admonished them to cooperate with the monarch for peace to reign absolutely in the town.
Ahmad further admonished the other ruling House to maintain calm ?and embrace peace, stressing that such atmosphere would further enhance development of the community.
