SHEIKH IMRAN ABDUL MOJEED ELEHA CLARIFIES MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT PROPHET YUSUF’S STORY, CAUTIONS DESTROYERS OF FARM PRODUCTS
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // Lagos // In a recent lecture at Daaru Naim Central Mosque, Nigerian Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Imran Abdul Mojeed Eleha, shed light on the story of Prophet Yusuf, addressing allegations that his brothers were accused of theft.
According to Sheikh Imran, this claim is unfounded, as a prophet of Allah would never wrongly accuse anyone.
Sheikh Imran explained that Bilaminu, Yusuf’s younger brother, was aware of the plan to keep the cup measurements of food in his bag, which was a deliberate act by Prophet Yusuf to reunite with his family, particularly his father, after a long separation.
The Islamic Scholar highlighted that when the cup was missing, Yusuf ordered that anyone found with it should not be punished, but rather rewarded with a gift of a camel and other items.
When the brothers were accused of theft, they reminded Yusuf that they had previously returned money found in their bags, demonstrating their honesty.
Sheikh Imran also noted that one of Yusuf’s brothers, upon finding the cup in Bilaminu’s bag, responded with hatred and accused Yusuf, whom they believed was lost, of being a thief.
Unbeknownst to them, Yusuf was standing before them, having risen to the position of head of parliament in charge of food and agricultural products in Mistra (Mosara), Egypt.
In light of this, Sheikh Imran advised Nigerians, especially herdsmen and Fulani’s, to desist from spoiling agricultural products and plantations, emphasizing that such actions are against Allah’s will and would attract punishment.
The Islamic Scholar urged Muslim scholars to seek more knowledge and educate others, citing the story of Prophet Yusuf as a lesson in unity, honesty, and the importance of seeking knowledge.
In his conclusions, Sheikh Imran advocates that if you are found in any situation of being accused wrongful, urging that you must be active to fight back not accepting the false allegations against you as stated from Suratul Yusuf.
