Eulogy for Barrister Ego-Queen Ezuma as Burial for late TPI Director Commences

The interment arrangement for the late Director of Legal Services of The Progressive Institute, TPI Abuja, Barr. Ego-Queen Ezuma who passed on recently has commenced.

 

A distinguished legal practitioner, seasoned administrator, and committed political figure, Mrs Ezuma is described by many as a figure whose contributions to law, governance, and party development left an enduring legacy.

 

Mrs Ezuma journey to eternity commenced last Wednesday 3rd of June, 2026 at her Catholic Church in Abuja where a Memorial Service was held in her honour. The next day, management and staff of TPI joined family and friends of the late director at the Yardau Center, Abuja for a Special Memorial Service.

 

In his tribute, the Director General of TPI, Lanre Adebayo, PhD expresses condolences from the All Progressives Congress, APC National Chairman, Professor Nantewe Yulwatda. Dr. Adebayo described Barr. Ezuma as a great lost to the progressive family. He said the late director is a good ambassador of the APC.

 

“For us, it’s a great lost. We’ve lost a good councilor. We’re going to miss a friend. We are going to a devoted party woman. We’ve lost someone who shared passion in the development of intellectual resource center for the APC’’, says the Director General of TPI who was accompanied by two other Directors;, Mallam Sanusi Saad Kiru,Director, Programe and Training and Dr. Bassey Ibor, Director of Finance and Account.

 

Other dignitaries who showered emcomium of a good life spent on Mrs Ezuma includes Senator Osita Osinaso, Chief Benbela, Anachebe, SAN, Chairman Law Reform Commission, Mr. Shaibu Anuwa, SAN , Proffessor Emmanuel Charles Ogu, an Oweeri based traditioner ruler, amongst others.

 

The late TPI Director served as the National Legal Adviser of the Action Congress (AC), where she played a pivotal role in strengthening the party’s legal structure and institutional foundation.

 

Driven by a passion for grassroots representation and public service, she contested in the APC primaries for the Ideato North Constituency seat in the Imo State House of Assembly in 2011 and 2015, demonstrating her commitment to democratic participation and community development.

 

Following the formation and growth of the All Progressives Congress (APC), she served as a Member of the APC Constitution Review Committee, contributing significantly to the development and refinement of the party’s governing framework.

 

In 2023, she was appointed as a Member of the APC Presidential Screening Committee, where she played a critical role in evaluating aspirants for the highest office in the country.

 

In 2024, she was appointed as the Director of Legal Services at The Progressive Institute (TPI), the intellectual resource centre of the APC, providing strategic legal guidance and supporting key policy and institutional initiatives.

 

She was the Secretary of APC Congress Committee for the 2026 Area Council Elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), contributing to the coordination and successful conduct of party activities.

 

Late Barr. Ego-Queen Ezuma will be remembered for her integrity, diligence, and unwavering commitment to the rule of law and progressive governance. Her legacy continues to inspire colleagues, associates, and the next generation of leaders.

 

Wake/Service of Song for the deceased is slated for Thursday 18th, June, 2026 at her residence in Imo state while Burial Mass is scheduled for Friday 19th June,2026 at the St Joseph Catholic Church, Ndiakunwatain Ideoto North.

 

Survived by children, adopted children and grand children, Mrs Queen-Ezuma will be laid to rest at her country home in Ndiakunwatain Ideoto North Local Government of Imo State on the 19th of June, 2026.
